Why is it recommended to regularly calibrate mass flow meters/controllers?
- Working measuring instruments listed in the "Mandatory Verification Catalogue for Measuring Instruments" used for trade settlement, safety protection, medical and health, environmental monitoring, etc., must be regularly calibrated by a third party.
- To ensure the consistency of the production process, regular calibration of flow meters can maintain the quality and accuracy of the equipment.
- Update firmware to help you update the program version.
- Comprehensive detection of flow meter usage status to eliminate potential fault risks.
Used in four categories: trade settlement, safety protection, medical and health, and environmental monitoring, requiring regular mandatory calibration by a third party
If the flow meter/controller you are using is for trade settlement, safety protection, medical and health, or environmental monitoring, it needs to be regularly submitted to a professional metrology verification department for calibration and verification, and a verification certificate or calibration certificate must be issued by a third party. The verification regulation JJG1132-2017 for thermal gas flow meters stipulates that the verification cycle for flow meters generally does not exceed 2 years.
For applications other than the above four categories, customers can determine the calibration cycle that meets their own needs based on the operating conditions and gas used by the flow meter. If the customer wishes to maintain the quality and accuracy of measuring and control products, Sevenstar Flowmeter can also provide calibration services for you.
Sevenstar Flowmeter Calibration Service "Four Steps"
I. Evaluation and Inspection. Before recalibration, our service engineers will first conduct a comprehensive evaluation and inspection of the equipment. Inspection items include: analog signals, parameter settings, sensor status, electrical interfaces, interface threads, and even equipment appearance issues.
II. Parameter Adjustment. After careful evaluation, we will make necessary adjustments to the equipment's parameter settings to optimize operational performance.
III. Series Calibration. Finally, the engineers will connect the equipment in series with a standard meter and calibrate the equipment using the standard meter.
IV. After calibration, a calibration certificate is generated
Annual calibration includes data before and after calibration. On the calibration certificate, we list certain parameters and conditions related to calibration:
Process Gas: Gas pre-selected from the gas menu. This can be changed via the front panel or during recalibration.
Calibration Gas: Gas used for calibrating the device. Unless the customer has specific requirements for the calibration gas, we typically use nitrogen.
Range: Full range of the device. Since our products can be customized in range, this range may differ from the inherent range in the main model.
Gas Temperature: The gas temperature during device calibration.
Ambient Humidity: The humidity during device calibration.
Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detection: External leak rate during device calibration.
Response Time: Response speed during calibration.
Operating Differential Pressure: Maximum and minimum operating differential pressure during device calibration.

Sevenstar Flowmeter Submission for Calibration Process
Contact Sevenstar Flowmeter after-sales service, fill out the repair form on the official account, and send the flow meter back to the address specified on the repair form.
(After-sales phone: 010-56178026, how to get the repair form: click "Interact" in the bottom right corner of the Sevenstar Flowmeter official account and select "Repair Form".)
After testing is complete, if calibration is required, corresponding fees will be incurred, and a customer service representative will contact you promptly.
The turnaround time for annual calibration depends on our current order quantity and workload. Calibration is usually completed and the equipment shipped back within approximately 7-15 working days after receipt.
