D08-8C Flow Display Unit connection to computer.
1. First, determine if the communication mode of the 8C flow display unit is 232/485. We will have an indicator on the rear panel of the flow display unit.
2. If this mode is inconsistent with your communication mode, you can change it using the following method:
1) Remove the display unit's casing. Unscrew the two screws on the display unit's rear panel.
2) Hold the front panel of the display unit, press the clip on the bottom casing of the display unit, and at the same time gently push the rear panel of the display unit to remove the casing.
3) Take out the insulation board inside the display unit.
4) Check the 232-485 switch. If the switch is at 232, the display unit is in 232 mode. If the switch is at 485, it is in 485 communication mode. Simply toggle the switch to convert. The switch position is shown in the figure below:
3. After confirming that the display unit's communication mode is consistent with your communication mode, proceed with the physical connection.
4. For 232 communication mode, use our company's QCX-12 type connection cable. Connect one end of the No. 12 cable to the digital connection port on the rear of the display unit; connect the other end to the computer's 232 communication port.
5. For 485 communication mode, use our company's QCX-15 type connection cable for connection.
6. If multiple display units are to be connected, first use QCX-15 to connect the first display unit, then use QCX-14 type connection cable to connect the subsequent second and third display units.
